Cheers to Kim!

I pretty much owe my best friend, Kim, my sanity. Not only does she put up with my boo-hoo emails when I get down, but if it wasn't for her and her wonderful family, I wouldn't be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Now she's gone and out-done herself:

1.) Thanks to her and her awesome sister, Ros, I was able to fix the giant hole I would get in the middle of my homemade bread (Thanks, Ros!).

2.) Most importantly, if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have known that tomorrow Baskin Robbins will be selling their small cones for 31 cents. I will probably be getting chocolate chip cookie dough. And maybe a few others, depending on if they have a limit...
Thanks, friend. Everyone should have a Kim.
P.S. One day I really will udpate this blog concerning what we've been doing, mostly after my sinus infection goes away and after Erik stops puking. This little Baskin Robbins diddy was just too good not to share.

Oh, What A Beautiful Morning

Oh, what a beautiful day!
As warm as it might look, it was actually about 50 degrees outside. But he insisted on playing in the water naked.

The True Meaning of Easter

We woke up and started out late for church. Yes, I know. Easter is a yearly celebration dedicated to remembering the resurrection of Jesus Christ and all other blessings that this single event in history brings. However, not only was my stomach protesting anything that wasn't warm, but I just felt it was unethical to feed my family cold cereal for breakfast on Easter morning. So we were 45 minutes late (later than we have EVER been) for nice, warm, homemade pancakes. Which made us miss most of Sacrament meeting.

We got home and had lunch. Then we did Easter baskets and Easter eggs. I try to keep the baskets somewhat Christ-centered, so they always get a church book. Erik loved his.

My two boys. Cute, huh?

Taylor dying Easter eggs (the night before).

Taylor LOVES egg hunts. I kept the plastic eggs from last year, and whenever he finds them lying around he hides them and tells me to go find them. Then he tells me to hide them so he can find them.

Have I mentioned that we have perhaps the best neighbors in the world? On Saturday night they went to all the houses on our street that have kids and put bunny pawprints on all the porches. They're awesome.
After that we went on over to Chris and Carlie's for Easter dinner. Yum! The kids had another egg hunt and loved it. No pictures; forgot the camera. But we had fun!

Mac 'N' Cheese

For bedtime tonight, we read Eric Carle's Panda Bear, Panda Bear, which has a Macaroni Penguin in it. When we got to the picture of the penguin, Taylor said, "No, that's not a Macaroni Penguin. Macaroni has cheese on it." I love that boy.
