6 Months

Okay, so she's gynormous. We really don't feed her pure butter, though she does eat her cereal like I'm rationing her food and she doesn't trust me to feed her regularly. I have to put her in 12-month clothes because her arms are too big for smaller sizes. She shares diapers with Erik. In fact, she's only about 7 pounds lighter than Erik. For her 6-month appointment, she weighed just over 20 pounds. As big as Taylor was, he wasn't even that heavy at 6 months. I ended up having to hold her almost the entire time at church yesterday (instead of finding some unsuspecting victim to pawn her off on), and my arms are totally sore today.

But really, is she not the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Super!

So our sweet little city of DuPont held a Mother/Son dance and the theme was superheroes. When I first saw the flyer I got ridiculously excited and asked Taylor, "Hey, dude, do you want to dress up like superheroes and go to a ball?!?" His response? "Um, no. I don't want to go." But I was already excited. I was already brainstorming. And by all that I held dear, he was going to dress up, look cute, and have fun, or my name wasn't Mom.

I finally got him to at least get excited about dressing up as Batman (thank you, Batman). He already had a cape and a Batman shirt, so I just had to add on from there. And I HAD to have him wear external briefs. All superheroes do it. Actually, I almost wore some, too. But I figured that a skirt would be much more appropriate for a mom.

Here we are! Feel intimidated? You should.
Well, only if you're a bad guy.

Batman on his bat-mobile.Taylor and his friend, Jackson.Taylor and his Jedi-friend, Ryan. They raffled off the table centerpieces and we won this one. Coincidence? I think NOT!They served rootbeer floats at the dance. Taylor only wanted the ice cream. And this was after he had a strawberry shake and some ice cream cake during dinner.

Me, Stacey, Taylor, and Ryan. Aren't their costumes cute? And she made them herself!

Sarah and I.Diane, Jackson's mom, and I. She has the cutest little baby bump.

In the end Taylor really did have fun. He didn't do much dancing- just hung out by the refreshment table when he wasn't running and jumping around. But I'm so glad we went!
