Drinking and Driving

We got ourselves new bikes so that we could more thoroughly enjoy the outdoors. While we were in the spirit, we went ahead and got Taylor a bike as welll. He LOVES it.
.
He's actually doing better than I thought he would- although he still rides in the grass and falls over. It also came with a water bottle on the front, and he's all over it. We're still trying to teach him that you don't drink and drive.

Look Into My Eyesssss...

We went to a little farm this past Saturday. It had some animals that you could feed, bunnies and kitties you could look at, and (Taylor's favorite) a few mounds of dirt to jump on. It ALSO had 4 peacocks- 1 male and 3 females. Neither Kent nor I had ever seen a male peacock with his feathers in all their splendor, but while we were there, he was trying to impress the ladies. So there he was, struttin' around like he owned the place with all his feathers spread out. It was actually really neat. Apparently, they also "rattle" their hind feathers, which makes, well, a rattling noise that scared Taylor. He wouldn't go near it.

Needless to say, the "chicks" weren't all that impressed, at least while we were there.
We tried to get Taylor to feed the goats, but he was a little scared of them, too. At least we were able to coax him into petting it. So Kent ended up feeding them.
The one thing that Taylor was most excited about was the big rig that sat in the parking lot. Just look at that pure joy on his face!

Some Catching-up

Well, we're in our new house finally, and we didn't get internet until this past Thursday, so I'm now working on updating everyone. No pictures of the house (those will come later when we don't still look like we're living out of boxes), but we do have some other fun ones:

These are our boys! This is from when we were staying in the hotel while we were waiting to move in. Taylor is rather irritated at us for trying to get him to look at the camera while Curious George is on.

Taylor found a little friend in our backyard. And yes, he did almost literally love it to death.

Look at my sweet husband! Every time he goes to Home Depot, he comes home with about 20 things more than he intended. He LOVES having a yard to work on. He's like a kid in a candy shop at all those home-improvement stores.

The Next Baryshnikov

For the plane ride out here to Washington, we bought a new movie for Taylor- Happy Feet. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's basically about a penguin that dances. All we need to do is add that pink tutu (see picture below) and we have the next Baryshnikov!
