Pink or Blue?

This is old news, but I thought it warranted a post. Between sleeping, reading, refereeing the boys, and more sleeping (with maybe more reading thrown in), it was obvious that my schedule was just too hectic to post this when it was more current.

I took the boys to a stake activity a few weeks ago. This was when Erik still hadn't had a haircut (Kent's preference, not mine) for a while. A woman from our ward was asking how old Taylor was. Then she asked, "Is the other one a boy or a girl?" I felt very de-masculanized on Erik's behalf. Once I told Kent this, he finally agreed it was time to cut it.

Okay, so not immediately post-cut. More like next-week-picking-blueberries post-cut. But you get the idea. And I know I'm not the most objective, but did he really look like a girl?

He is a pretty boy... but not like a girl pretty! He's definately masculine! :)

He looks like a boy to me, but then again, all babies look like boys to me (bias? Or the old man thing?) and although his haircut is very nice, that was some very awesome hair. I hope it's always that luscious.

I don't think he looked like a girl, at all. However, I've been yelled at by a mom after telling her how gorgeous her daughters hair was. It was really long - like to the shoulders, long - only to have her snap at me, "HIS hair is grogeous, Thank you."

So given the situation, I may have done the same...not because I thought he was a girl, but not wanting to offend the parent if I was wrong.

I love the hair cut! I have to honestly say I cant stand little boys with long hair because they do look like little girls. Everytime we see a little one with long hair my four year old is like "mom is that a girl or a boy?" and honestly half the time I dont know!

NOOOOO! I loved the long hair! and no, he most certainly did not look like a girl. Please. Remember the lady in D-Land that thought you were my daughter? (ok, maybe you shouldn't answer that just in case it wasn't that ridiculous of a mistake.) I'm just saying, one person's comment means nothing.

ps... its not like you dressed him in girlie clothes that would make it hard to tell.

So sad. I loved Eric's hair. I have a picture of Kent about that same age, same hair. Good thing winter and the new baby are coming. You won't have time for a hair cut then.

Well if you are asking MY opinoin, which I think you ARE, no way does that kid look like a girl. But he has great short hair and not short (but it wasnt long!) hair. Cute, cute boys! You two make good looking babies! And someone said belly pic! I second that!!

Love the hair long! Who cares what anyone else thinks...at least that's what I tell myself everytime someone calls my little girls boys because their lack of hair. Oh well.

Wow! Some people have no tact. Anyway, you don't need to worry. He's all boy! You know, from the title of the post I thought maybe there had been some dispute about whether the upcomeing baby was boy or girl. Speaking of which, I need to come check out your baby bedding!

Why did you guys cut it...Oh wait I did (only because Stephanie threatened me). Don't worry it'll be untouched throughout the winter.
